Praises at ACT UT

Summer activities have kept us very busy at Active Christians Today at the University of Toledo. The summer break has meant more “off-campus” events while at the same time planning to return to a regular schedule this Fall.

We praise God for the many students have returned from home to say “hi” and join in at our activities. The fun and fellowship has been contagious.

We continue to praise God for our ACT students and leaders who returned in July from a mission workcamp in West Virginia. A group of 25 high school youth, university students and adults traveled from Northwest Ohio to help the needy in Jackson County, West Virginia. It was a powerful week and many lives were changed.

Our Friday nights we call “In the Woods with Jesus” and they have been full of fellowship and fun and sometimes a little excitement. Even a thunderstorm one evening may have poured down an abundance of rain but it didn’t dampen our spirits.

A night of watching baseball at Fifth Third Field with the Toledo Mud Hens was another great time to enjoy savoring our brotherhood and sisterhood in Christ. Fun was had by all!

Prayer Requests at ACT UT

Our hearts and minds are now preparing for the mission field that is the university campus. All summer our students have been meeting and greeting prospective students through the University of Toledo “Rocket Launch.” This is another way we are able to reach out and let students know about ACT and to find a safe “home away from home” at UT.

Our student leadership has already begun praying, meeting and organizing for the fall. Student leadership is vital to the growth and future of ACT. We ask for prayers for the students as they juggle huge workloads between jobs, studies and ACT. We are praying that we can be the respite in the storm around them .

As always, we truly thank you for your prayers!
