Part of our ACT UT 2019 Fall Retreat weekend included hiking at Oak Openings Metropark. We spent some time in the sand dunes working through the Daily Examen - a way to consider where we have been and where we are going in our journey of faith. The weather was perfect and the scenery reminded us of what a great Creator we serve!
We had some good, messy fun at our annual Messy Twister night at the Active Christians Today University of Toledo Campus House! It was great to welcome ACT Bowling Green State University to the festivities in what was truly a perfect night for getting covered in shaving cream from head to toe!
Messy Twister is Twister with a twist! Each of the Twister circles will be filled with tempera paint and shaving cream... leading to a MESS!
Join us Wednesday nights ONLINE for Bible Study at 7 PM.
Contact us for links to the online platform for our Bible Study each week!
Our weekly talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation. Each focuses on the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity through God's Word.
The most important part of the evening is our discussion. This is your chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic. There's never an obligation to say anything. And there's nothing you can't say! It's an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
During the year we do topical studies along with in-depth study of Scripture. In every case, we dive into God's Word to discover truths applicable to our world. Our studies have three things in common: food, a talk and good conversation. We will conclude by 8 PM each Wednesday evening!
Join us most Friday's for our "Friday Night Thing!" We bring together ACT BG and ACT UT at the "Weaver Family Ranch" (6260 Prov Neap Swan Rd Swanton OH 43558).
We have s'mores, hot dogs, pudgie pies, popcorn, campfires, volleyball, games, hikes in the Maumee State Forest (which is really a meadow in this area), ping pong, croquet, lazy hammocking (our word), swimming (in a small pool), music and more!
All are welcome beginning at 6:30 PM and ending whenever. Those who don't wish to make a late night drive home are welcome to camp out or sleep in the barn (no reservations needed!). Bring your own bedding, mosquito repellent and anything else you think you might need. No charge for the hot dogs but if you want something more substantial, feel free to bring something to cook over the fire.
Make sure to check the calendar for specific "off days" during the summer.
