2019 ACT UT Fall Retreat

Part of our ACT UT 2019 Fall Retreat weekend included hiking at Oak Openings Metropark. We spent some time in the sand dunes working through the Daily Examen - a way to consider where we have been and where we are going in our journey of faith. The weather was perfect and the scenery reminded us of what a great Creator we serve!

2019 Messy Twister at ACT UT

We had some good, messy fun at our annual Messy Twister night at the Active Christians Today University of Toledo Campus House! It was great to welcome ACT Bowling Green State University to the festivities in what was truly a perfect night for getting covered in shaving cream from head to toe!

Messy Twister is Twister with a twist! Each of the Twister circles will be filled with tempera paint and shaving cream... leading to a MESS!

Bible Study Wednesdays at 7 PM

Join us Wednesday nights ONLINE for Bible Study at 7 PM.

Contact us for links to the online platform for our Bible Study each week!

Our weekly talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation. Each focuses on the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity through God's Word.

The most important part of the evening is our discussion. This is your chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic. There's never an obligation to say anything. And there's nothing you can't say! It's an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

During the year we do topical studies along with in-depth study of Scripture. In every case, we dive into God's Word to discover truths applicable to our world. Our studies have three things in common: food, a talk and good conversation. We will conclude by 8 PM each Wednesday evening!

Severe Weather Updates

Active Christians Today at the University of Toledo follows the Lucas County regulations regarding Snow Emergency levels. We will update our website and social media as conditions warrant.

During a LEVEL 1, official events will take place but please use caution. During a LEVEL 2, official ACT events will be postponed or canceled. However, the campus house may be open for those who are on campus and do not have to travel. Other factors may affect the final decision. If weather conditions improve during the day and roads are passable, afternoon or evening activies may be resinstated if the Snow Emergency is lifted.

Information regarding the weather situation will be updated here and on our social media outlets.

Please be aware of the official Lucas County Severe Weather levels:

LEVEL 1: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously.

LEVEL 2: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work. Motorists should use extreme caution.

LEVEL 3: All roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. No one should be driving during these conditions unless it is absolutely necessary to travel or a personal emergency exists. All employees should contact their employer to see if they should report to work. Those traveling on the roads may subject themselves to arrest.

2017 Active Christians Today Fall Getaway Report

ACT BG & UT traveled to Ann Arbor, Detroit and Dearborn to answer the question "Who is My Neighbor?" We reached out to the homeless in Ann Arbor, we worked with Central Detroit Christian Community Development and learned about work in Dearborn. It was an amazing weekend filled with prayer, fellowship, service and testimony!
