2016 ACT Annual Celebration
We had a wonderful time together at the Active Christians Today Annual Celebration at Garden Park Church! We were blessed with great fellowship, great food, reports from our campus staff, students and sharing memories and the history of Active Christians Today with our alumni. A silent auction was held to raise funds for ACT and we heard reports and testimonies from each of our campus staff. This is truly a historic time for ACT as all of our current staff are alumni of Active Christians Today. Don Williams discussed his history as a student at the University of Toledo and how ACT students reached out to him as an unbeliever. Scott Weaver talked about how he was searching for a Christian group that was grounded in the Word and found it in ACT. Michelle Williams discussed her campus experience and the series of events that eventually led her to ACT. God has blessed us tremendously!
2016 Active Christians Today Fall Retreat
ACT UT joined with ACT BG for a weekend in the country! Our theme was "Fruitful" as we learned what it meant to be rooted, grounded and fruitful in our lives. We faced torrential downpours from before dawn on Saturday until late afternoon but it didn't dampen our spirits! We enjoyed lunch at a very empty Oak Openings Park along with volleyball in the rain. Sunday morning we worshiped with Delta Church of Christ. Great music, great fellowship, great study and a great God watching over us all!
2016 Active Christians Today Fall Semester Photo Show
Active Christians Today at Bowling Green State University and at the University of Toledo has had a busy Fall Semester! From Bible Studies to a Messy Twister Night and Fall Fun at the Wheeler Farms Corn Maze, here are some photographic highlights of what we have been doing.
PACK THE PROUT Wednesday and Celebrate with Dave and Vicki Warner!
Pack the Prout! It's 8 PM Wednesday night at Prout Chapel on the Bowling Green State University campus. We are celebrating the ministry of Campus Pastor Dave Warner and Vicki Warner. When Dave started over 20 years ago the first ACT BG meeting had very few students involved. So, we hope to end his ministry by packing Prout Chapel. Show your support and help us make it happen! Rides for students at ACT UT will be available from the ACT UT campus house at 7 PM for worship at 8 PM in Bowling Green (please RSVP in advance). Following worship there will be a takeover of the Waffle House in BG. Let's Pack the Prout!
2016 Chivalry Dinner
The ACT BG and UT men gathered last Saturday to prepare a dinner for the ACT ladies. The "Chivalry Dinner" included everything from the ambiance of the room, table settings, menu, music and preparing and cooking the dinner. The Chivalry Dinner was a way to show our appreciation for the ladies of ACT. It was a wonderful night of great food, fellowship, laughter and fun.
2016 ACT BG & UT Spring Break Mission Trip
It was truly an inspiring week serving with the ACT BG / UT mission team in and around West Palm Beach, Florida. It was a busy week: serving in a soup kitchen, participating in a children's after school program and helping in a huge food distribution project sounds like a lot but there was so much more. The team also led in worship on Sunday, cleaned out a warehouse, directed a youth program on Friday and found more unusual places for ministry including an evening festival in West Palm Beach. God blessed in amazing ways and we thank everyone for their support of ACT! Watch this video to get an idea of all that happened from the student's perspective.
ACT UT Students on Mission in West Virginia with Brothers' Keeper 2016
Three students from Active Christians Today University of Toledo and the Weaver family joined with 25 youth and adults from Northwest Ohio to spend a week on mission in West Virginia. The group participated in the Brothers’ Keeper ministry based at Parchment Valley in Ripley. The ministry reaches out to the Jackson County West Virginia area (one of the poorest in all of West Virginia) by building wheelchair ramps, decks, house repairs, tarring roofs and more. Our students helped in leadership during the week along with serving on work teams around the county. It was truly a wonderful week and we saw many lives touched with the love of Jesus through the ministry of Brothers' Keeper.

A week in the life of our students with Active Christians Today features lots of fun and fellowship at a Toledo Mud Hens game and "In the Woods with Jesus." Come see what you are missing!
